January 2009- The only thing I really recall about these days and the surf, is the time I spent defrosting myself after shooting for 2+ hours in wind chills that made it a struggle for my hands to feel my camera. The light was fun to work with and despite my feelings now, I love the winter and can't wait to see what the winter of 2009-2010 will bring.

 

March was neither good nor bad for surf here in Maine. It consisted of a lot of real small swell windows, only offering maybe 3-6 hours of rideable waves for each storm/swell event before the offshores sent the waves out to Europe. Jose Perez was down to travel and find some sick waves with me, and I think we succeeded.

April has been a good month for surf so far here. Unfortunately we all know it is the oceans last cry before the summer. Here is Christopher "Critical Circle" Kruse earning his namesake.

Shortly after the winds switched and the snow stopped falling, Nico Evans stopped by and put on a surfing tutorial at a local beachbreak.
